Last August we took a week to camp on the Olympic Peninsula. The weather report was not promising, but we prayed and chose to journey there anyway. We had moments of glee and more moments of misery. I don't know why we're drawn to camp in the Olympic National Rainforest. Maybe it's because we're a little nutty......but it usually is rainy, hence RAINFOREST!!!! We'll go back, probably last minute to make sure the weather is nice.
Let's just say the current commercial on tv about the NW Camper was our life on this trip. Blue tarps suspended from every tree, failed tent seams, my cold pug, Pudge, inability to dry our wet belongings.......some sun, beautiful ocean, our boys reading comics around the campfire (rain or shine that is always beautiful).....our sweet friends the Franklins and their new son Athon camping with us. I think we'll head to Eastern Washington or south Oregon coast for this summer's outing. We wanna be warm and dry :o) Enjoy the pictures, there are some good ones.......
